Touch and The Grand Feel Action
Every aspect of the CS10 has been redeveloped or significantly improved ensuring that this top of the range instrument provides the most authentic playing experience of any digital piano. The grand feel keyboard has real wooden keys with a luxurious Ivory Touch surface. Kawai have also incorporated features such as a key release simulation and a triple sensor key detection, all which helps the digital piano come as close as possible to an acoustic instrument.
The new Grand Feel action combines realistic materials, motion and mechanisms to recreate the excellent touch of the best concert grand pianos. Each wooden key pivot is placed on a balance pin which can rise and fall to replicate the familiar seesaw motion of an acoustic piano action.
Tone
The Kawai CS10 has been very carefully sampled from a Kawai concert grand. Each note has been recorded many times and at different velocities to help recreate the true sound of an acoustic instrument. Therefore if the pianist was to press a key as hard as they can, then the sound they would hear a note being pressed down very hard on an acoustic piano. Also helping to achieve a very realistic sound is the piano’s superior speaker system. The CS10’s speakers can really deliver a rich deep bass and a tight bright treble. The speakers have even been designed to embrace the sound of wood channeling through a soundboard to produce a organic tone, similar to that of what you would hear on a acoustic instrument.

Detailed Configuration Options
The main aim for this digital piano is to replicate the experience of playing an acoustic instrument. However the CS10’s interface also allows the pianist to change the tonal settings to create different sounding pianos, such as warm grand, jazz upright & concert grand.
