The Piano Shop Bath’s Kawai K6 at Glastonbury Festival Centenary Celebration

We have come to associate Glastonbury festival with Micheal Eavis and famously the village of Pilton.  However, the first Glastonbury festival took place in 1914 and was founded by English composer Rutland Boughton. The festival took place at the assembly Rooms in Glastonbury, and we hired a Kawai K6 to the festival for the occasion.

This weekend sees a number of presentations and performances to celebrate the centenary of these classical music festivals. They ran for 22 years and were the first of their kind in England. At the height of their popularity they attracted performers and audiences from all over the country. We are proud to be supporting these celebrations through our piano hire service. For more information please see rutlandboughtonmusictrust.org.ukand perhaps we will see you there.
